¡La fin de semana!
Classes are over for this week! :) Yesterday was the halfway point in the trip. In exactly 2 weeks I'll be flying back to North Carolina. I'm not looking forward to leaving Spain, but I've been looking at the pictures from Lutheridge and I'm getting excited about going to camp!
I'm going to Museo Reina Sofia today with Sandra. We were going to go yesterday, but we ended up doing homework all afternoon, our journals were due today. I had to give a presentation in my art class today. I had to talk about a painter and one of his paintings and compare that painter to another painter we've been talking about. I guess I did alright. I'm glad it's over though. :)
This weekend, I'm going to the south! This is probably the last time that I'll update my blog until I get back. Here's my schedule for the weekend.
Friday:
9am - leave Madrid
10:50am - arrive in Cordoba & explore Cordoba
1:44pm - leave Cordoba
2:30pm - arrive in Sevilla, explore Sevilla & spend the night there
Saturday:
go to Cadiz (la playa Victoria), it's on the Atlantic Coast, spend time on the beach and spend the night in Cadiz
Sunday:
go back to Sevilla at some point
8pm - leave Sevilla for Madrid
10:30pm - arrive in Madrid
Last night, Sandra and I discovered that Victor (the college student living at our house) speaks English. I told Sandra that he probably did and he'd let us know as we were leaving. Last night he walked into the living room and said something to me in English. It took me a minute to realize that he was speaking English. Sandra and I gave him a hard time about it. The 3 of us ate dinner at the same time last night and we had fun goofing off with him (in Spanish). He's really funny. I still have trouble understanding some of his Spanish though because he talks REALLY fast. I keep having to ask him to slow down and have him repeat things a million times.
