Café Central y más
Last night, I went to Café Central with Sandra and Janie. They have live jazz there at night. When we left there we wanted to find something to eat, but a lot of places didn´t have food that late. We took the metro a couple stops down and got off at one of the major areas downtown. We ended up at a McDonald´s and got happy meals. :)
We were walking down the street last night and this guy stopped us because we spoke English and gave us this whole sob story about how he´s trying to catch his 6am flight and something happened where his group was separated and he had to get to the embassy because that´s there meeting point and he needed some euros for the metro. We told him that we didn´t have any money and good luck. He has 2 legs, if it´s that important he can walk, not to mention there is an ATM on every block.
Thursday afternoon, Sandra and I were walking home and this old lady stopped us and asked if we had a map. We did, but we couldn´t find the road she wanted. (We don´t think it exists.) She started talking to us and asked our names and stuff. After Sandra told the lady her name (Alexandra) the lady was like ¨that´s my name too¨. Then, after finding out that Sandra´s birthday was May 9, she said that hers is May 8. (Yeah right.) She told us that she was 80 and then later said that she was 90. She walked with us to our building and then wanted to come up. Sandra explained to her that she couldn´t because it´s not our house, etc. Then, the lady wanted 2 euros for the metro. We told her that we didn´t have any. Then we told her by and she continued walking down the street.
I think my body has finally adjusted to the time change because I woke up without an alarm at the same time I´ve been getting up for school (7´30). Today is another pretty day and some of us are going to go to the zoo and aquarium this afternoon. (They have dolphins there!)
